When you purchase something from Dylan & David's, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect personal information such as your name, address, and email address. Additionally, when you browse our store, we automatically receive your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, which provides information about your browser and operating system. With your permission, we may also use your email address to send updates about our store, new products, and other notifications.

How do you get my consent?

By providing personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for delivery, or return a purchase, you consent to our collecting and using it for those specific purposes only. If we request your information for a secondary purpose, like marketing, we will either ask for your express consent or provide an option to decline.

How do I withdraw my consent?

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services. Shopify securely stores your data through its data storage, databases, and general application, protected behind a firewall.

Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway, Shopify stores your credit card data, which is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your transaction. After that, it is deleted. Shopify’s payment gateways adhere to PCI-DSS standards to ensure secure handling of credit card information. For more information, please refer to Shopify’s Terms of Service or Privacy Statement.

SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Generally, the third-party providers we use collect, use, and disclose your information only as needed to perform their services for us. However, payment gateways and other processors may have their own privacy policies regarding the information required for purchase-related transactions. We recommend reviewing these policies to understand how your personal information may be handled by these providers.

Be aware that some providers may be in different jurisdictions, and your information could be subject to laws in those locations. For instance, if you are in Canada, and a transaction is processed by a U.S.-based payment provider, your information may be subject to U.S. legislation.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party application, our Privacy Policy and website Terms of Service no longer govern your data.

Google Analytics:

We use Google Analytics to help us understand who visits our site and what pages are viewed.

SECTION 7 - COOKIES

Below is a list of cookies we use so that you can choose to opt-out if desired:

  • _session_id: unique token, sessional; allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc.).
  • _shopify_visit: persistent for 30 minutes from last visit; used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker.
  • _shopify_uniq: expires midnight (relative to the visitor) the next day; counts visits to the store by a single customer.
  • cart: unique token, persistent for 2 weeks; stores information about the contents of your cart.
  • _secure_session_id: unique token, sessional.
  • storefront_digest: unique token, indefinite; used to determine if the visitor has access.

SECTION 8 - AGE OF CONSENT

By using this site, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority and have given consent for any minor dependents to use this site.

SECTION 9 - CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. Please review it frequently, as changes will take effect immediately upon posting. If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners to continue serving you.
